Another year over …
And a fab year it was too with highlights including Paul’s amazing performance at Glastonbury and the release of the Revolver box set. It also saw the return of Revolver Beatles Fanzine and a massive thank you to those who have helped in that regard in terms of contributions and messages of support during the year it is really appreciated.
Who knows what lies ahead in terms of Beatles fans for 2023 but it will see the 50th anniversary of the release of Ringo and Living In The Material World both of which would be seriously deserving of the special box set treatment … let’s hope so. The coming week will see the release of The McCartney Legacy [Volume 1 1969-73] by Allan Kozinn and Adrian Sinclair which promises to be a definitive exploration into McCartney’s life and music during his early solo years. 2023 will also bring the release of Ken Womack’s biography of Mal Evans who has had close assistance from the Evans estate and will herald the subsequent release of a collection of Mal’s diaries and manuscript which will follow in 2024. The Evans books will be fascinating insight of the Beatles inner circle and be massively significant publications.
The Revolver team will be sharing our thoughts on these and other releases during the coming year as well as looking back on all things Beatles. If you receive any “fab” gifts from under the tree this Christmas why not put pen to paper and share your thoughts too. We would love to hear from you.
Please make sure that you have a happy Christmas / Holiday season and we wish you a very merry Crimble.
Peace & Love.
Gwyn.
